RRC Chennai Recruitment of 5450 Group-D Posts 2013 (SR) Apply Online Through IROAMS

Employment Notification No.02/2013: Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Southern Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC SR) has published a notification for recruitment of 5185 Group-D Posts in various Departments of Southern Railway and 265 Group-D Posts in Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Pay Band-I. So, total numbers of posts such as Trackman, Helper, SCP/Porter & others to be filled by eligible candidates are 5450. Application for this can be made either in prescribed paper application form or can be filled up online through the website www.iroams.com by 21^st Oct 2013 till 5 PM. Eligibility Criteria & Other Details

• Age Limit: Minimum age for all the category is 18 years and maximum age for UR is 33 years, for OBC is 36 years and for SC / ST is 38 years. Upper age limit for Serving Railway Employees, Ex-Servicemen, PWD and other special category will be different. See the notification to know in this context.
• Qualifications: Class 10^th Pass or ITI or any equivalent Qualifications. Those are also eligible to apply for this post who are having higher educational qualifications.
• Pay Scale: PB-I Rs.5200 to 20200 + Rs.1800 GP

Selection Process & Exam Pattern: The Process of recruitment comprises objective type Written Test of 1 ½ Hours, Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination. Written Examination will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Class 10^th Level based on GK, GA, Mathematics and Reasoning etc. There will be negative marking in the test, so 1/3 marks for each wrong answer will be deducted. Paper will be set in English, Hindi, Urdu and Regional Language. Qualified candidates in Written Test will be called for PET that includes 100 Meters race in 4 Minutes & 15 Second (one change) for Male, and 400 Meters in 3 Minutes & 10 Second (one chance) for Female Candidates. In the Medical Test, Distant Vision should be 6/9, 6/9 & Near Vision should be 0.6, 0.6 (without Glass).

Examination Fee: Rs.100 which will be paid in the form of Demand Draft from SBI or its associate banks in favour of “The Assistant Personal Officer / Recruitment, RRC, Chennai – 600008”, Payable at Chennai in case of applying offline or fee will be paid at any branch of SBI or Indian Bank or any Head Post Offices in case of applying online. Applicants must write “Employment Notice No.RRC 02/2013, their Name and full address on the back side of DD. There is no examination fee for exempted categories such as SC / ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWD, All women, Economically Backward Classes and candidates belonging Minority Communities.

How to Apply: There are two modes of application, one is “Online” that can be made through the website www.iroams.com and another one is “Offline” by downloading application form through RRC’s website. Application for this post can be made till 21/10/2013. To apply online, you just need to visit said website, fill up application form with proper details and submit. After submission, take a print out of generated challan and pay fee at either designated banks or any head post office. You need not to send print out of online application to RRC.

If you want to apply manually in prescribed format, well, have an application form, fill it up with required details and send with DD (if not exempted) and copies of requisite documents by ordinary post to “The Assistant Personnel Officer / Recruitment, Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway, No.5, 3^rd Floor, Dr. P.V.
